PTFE textile raw materials

WHAT ARE TEXTILE RAW MATERIALS?

Generally speaking, the so-called textile raw materials refer to the initial materials that form textiles, and do not include raw materials added in the textile process (such as colorants, auxiliaries). If textile raw materials are defined as the raw materials that constitute yarns and fabrics, then textile raw materials are textile fibers. If textile raw materials are defined as the original materials that constitute textiles in a broad sense, in addition to using textile fibers as the main raw materials, textile raw materials can also include: plastics (such as buttons, zippers, clothing padding), rubber (such as coatings, sheets) ), metals (such as clothing accessories), fur and leather (such as clothing fabrics), feathers and down (such as wadding materials for clothing and household products), etc. In the text of this item, only plastic and rubber will be briefly explained, and other raw materials will be explained separately in items 9 to 13. Plastic is also called plastics; synthetic fiber raw materials derived from petroleum are also raw materials for plastics. In addition to synthetic fibers, many films or sheets made of plastic are also commonly used in the textile field. For example, plastic films can be cut into appropriate widths to produce tape yarn. , and polytetrafluorethylene (polytetrafluorethylene, referred to as PTFE or Teflon, Teflon) is a very good membrane material that can make outdoor sportswear moisture-permeable and waterproof. In the early days, rubber raw materials were mostly collected from the latex of rubber trees. Now more than half of them use artificial rubber. As for the application of rubber, before 1600 BC, people in Central America used rubber to make balls and play the mesoamerican ballgame, while the Maya people knew how to use rubber to make shoes. Some indigenous people in Brazil use rubber to make waterproof fabrics. After rubber was introduced to Britain, it was used as an eraser. In today's society, rubber is widely used in tires, shoe materials and shock-proof materials.
